Q: How did you (Victoria) get started writing?
A: I started writing poetry when I was eight years old, because I wanted to share my love of nature with others, and the written word was the easiest way for me to do that effectively. Then I decided to try writing a book about the wild horses after a trip to the Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary in Hot Springs, SD.
Q: How do you get your books published?
A: Right now I've been using a self-publishing method with the Morris Publishing center in Kearney, Nebraska. They are very easy to work with and have produced very nice books for me thus far. I may choose to let a publisher take over my books once I leave for college, because I won't have as much time to market my books properly.
Q: Do you plan on a writing career after college?
A: Definitely! No matter what I decide to do in life, I will always keep writing and publishing books. I love to write, and no matter where life takes me, writing will always be a side career.
Q: Will you read my manuscript and critique it?
A: You can send me a manuscript that you've written over the email posted on the home page. However, please understand that I am extremely busy and may not be able to read through it right away. I will try to get through it as soon as possible, but please give me at least three months.
